Cancer Type: UTERINE
Diagnosis: uterine Sarcoma Stage 4..22 years old. Doctors were very shocked with me being so young and finding this cancer. But since I was very stubborn and hated doctors when i finally went to get checked out it was really about 2 years after I have had irregular periods and pain in the abdomen and female areas. I wouldn't have probably even went to the doctor if my husband and I were trying to get pregnant for going on a year and ahalf with no luck at all.Now when we found out it was really too late.It is in my lungs, stomach, bladder and all female organs.
Chemo Drugs: Cisplatin and ifosfamide
Treatment: Chemotherapy..only on round 2 from probably very many. There isnt much they can do but try to experiment with chemotherapy drugs and dosages.Eventually maybe radiation.
Quality of Life: Doing alright..But still a bit in denial...very hard telling family and friends...scared of what will be next everyday I wake up...Lucky to still be here and glad I went to the doctor while I still have a very small chance...Love everyday as if it could be my last and let aeveryone know how much I love them.
Information Gathering: Going to a lot of websites and support groups and many many books and pamplets
General Comments: Don't ever be stubborn and just go to the doctor for regular checkups!!
