THROAT |
I was just diagnosed with carsinoma insitu of the vocal chords. I am 30 years old. They removed the cancer by doing a vocal chrod stripping surgery last February, but when I went in to see the specialists he checked my throat again and found another abnormality. Less then 48 hours later I was in surgery again for vocal chord stripping and biopsy which came back as cancer AGAIN. I was told the first time that it would be rare for the cancer to return but here I go again. |

No chemo. |
So far we are just watching it to see of it returns a 3rd time. If it does return then I have to have radiation. My doctor is avoiding the radiation treatment for now because of my age and the damage it may cause to my salvary glands and my voice. |
I am married with 2 children ages 9 and 10. My life is going very well, I have no symptoms of the cancer except for a hoarse voice. I am hoping this was caught early enough so the quality of my life stays this way. |
I have searched the internet for an online chat and I have found several and there never seems to be anyone there! |
Stay tough guys! |
