My friend is a 28 year old mother of two children... a four year old son, and a six year old daughter. Approximately four years ago, her voice became hoarse, accompanied by a sore throat. My friend tried to see doctors, but had no medical insurance and was turned away. She went to the emergency room on several occasions, only to be given the 'brush off', handed antibiotics, and was told to go home. Finally, last month, after losing more than 30 pounds, she was able to convince the emergency room staff that it wasn't just a sore throat. We are praying for her. How can hospitals and doctors treat people this way and stay in practice??? This doctor says that the cancer is advanced, and she now has suspicious spots on her lungs. Her hoarseness, FOUR YEARS AGO should have been a sign to these doctors. This could have been caught a long time ago! |
